First Year Apprenticeship
Developing Leaders in Apprenticeship to Jesus
Apprenticeship is for all ages and stages of life to learn and grow through theological training, spiritual formation, and leadership development.
Theological Training
Theological Training
A.W. Tozer said, “What comes to your mind when you think about God is the most important thing about you.” Our understanding of who God is, His redemptive plan, and our place in it has a direct impact on our life and leadership.
Leadership Development
Leadership Development
Psalm 78:72 says, “David shepherded with integrity of heart, and with skillful hands he led them.” To be most effective, we need to grow in personal character (interior) and practical leadership skills (exterior).
Spiritual Formation
Spiritual Formation
Dallas Willard said, “We do not drift toward Christlikeness.” It takes intentional practice with others to be shaped into a person of love for the sake of others.

Structured around cohorts, apprentices meet every other Monday night from September to May. Classes consist of instruction and facilitated interaction along with required reading and regular assignments. We believe life transformation happens in the context of relationships, so a high value is placed on engaging and applying the content alongside others in Apprenticeship and our church community.
First Year Apprentices participate in a class from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. every other Monday starting in September and ending in May. You can expect to spend 2-3 hours on reading and homework assignments between classes.

Profound. Just…exactly what I needed at a crucial time. I would have never guessed that one class could impact my spiritual life and spill over into every other aspect of life.

My theology is just so much better…and that was the biggest driver for me.
– Rob Crouch, Realtor
Apprenticeship introduced topics and content I hadn’t previously considered and it strengthened my theology. I grew as a leader by learning about my interior life and how that contributes to who I am today.

This course was so spiritually rich that it helped me grow in my relationship with God and others.
– Susan Hric, Spiritual Formation Mentor
I was reluctant to join it, but I’m so glad I did. I learned more in the last nine months than I have in years. I loved it.
