// Amanda Benson
Amanda is a Colorado native, born and raised in the mountains around Glenwood Springs. Amanda finds joy in the energy, creativity and potential of young people, and feels honored to serve as Associate Director for Mill City Kids.
Amanda and her husband, Jacob, are both passionate about engaging children of all ages and creating environments to help them feel connected, heard, and loved. They are thankful for the many roles God has given them to influence young lives, as parents, camp counselors, mentors, and as teachers in Northern Colorado. Amanda completed her B.A. in Arts and Humanities, with a minor in Spanish at Colorado State University. She went on to earn her teaching license in elementary education. The Bensons have three boys, Noah, and twins, James and Caleb.
Amanda likes the funny things small children say, a little friendly competition, and being outside on a sunny day; she dislikes the texture of foam, when her ears get too cold, and the aftertaste of red onions.
